Application Deadline Dark Ecology Journey 2015: 1 October

1 October is the deadline for applications to the second Dark Ecology Journey, which will take place from 26–30 November 2015. Participants travel from Kirkenes in Norway’s northern extremes to the largest city in the far north: Murmansk (Russia), and visit Nikel in Russia en route. UK-based artist and researcher Susan Schuppli will join us on this Dark Ecology Journey and will provide the keynote lecture titled ‘Material Evidence from Disputed Arctic Sunsets to Dark Snow’. Further, the American philosopher Graham Harman will join us to speak about ‘Morton’s Hyperobjects and the Anthropocene’. The programme also includes the presentation of new commissioned works by artists HC Gilje, Margrethe Pettersen, and Joris Strijbos, by architect Tatjana Gorbachewskaja, and by composer and trombone player Hilary Jeffrey.
