It’s a world leading, once a year collection of events that looks at different ideas about sound and music.
It includes some of the most inspired musicians (and artists from many different artforms) in the world, in Glasgow, for 3 days.
Maybe you’ve not heard of some of them, maybe you have. It doesn’t matter. Come along, no prior knowledge needed.
It’s over a weekend, and has a bunch of different performances, talks, workshops, extras and so on…
Here’s who’s involved, exciting because of:
a) what they’ve done, and continue to do (big names like Hermann Nitsch)
b) what they might yet do (young turks like Usurper)
Including the Father of Austrian Aktionism Hermann Nitsch, improvising vocalist Joan La Barbara, Filament: Otomo Yoshihide and Sachiko M, sound artists Ultra-red, radio maestro Tetsuo Kogawa, cello disintegration by Nikos Veliotis and many more artists and provocateurs. You can also be a part of Phil Minton’s Feral Choir project for untrained voices, take part in an Encuentro, a Radio Party and learn about Lloopp software.
Events will also take place in the CCA and use the organ in the Glasgow University Chapel.
