Between 2002-2005 multimedia artist Ergo Phizmiz created over thirty hours of work for radio, including two twelve-part series and over twenty one-off programmes broadcast on stations such as Resonance FM, WFMU, BBC Radio 3, VPRO and WRFL. The pieces have explored a wide range of directions in sound-design, including sound-poetry, electroacoustics, aleatoric live-radio, minimalist comedy, turntablism & sampling, plus over six hours of explorations of ambient sound.
Over Summer 2005 all of these works are being made available for free in mp3 format from this site as a permanent archive. Including collaborations with and contributions from The Travelling Mongoose, Martha Moopette, Erik Bumbledonk, Luke Fowler, Alex Nielsen, and Namaiki, these pieces form the basis of an archive which will be periodically updated to include new works, an ever expanding library of radiophonic experimentation.
All sounds are licensed with a Creative Commons licence, and we encourage reappropriation and sampling of these works.
