This year, it is sixty years ago that Pierre Schaeffer launched a new approach to music, which he called Musique Concrète. At the same time, it is fifty years ago that the Groupe de Recherches Musicales was founded. Therefore, the Institute of Sonology of the Royal Conservatory decided to organise a three-day festival for which the GRM loudspeaker orchestra – the Acousmonium – will be transported from Paris to the Arnold Schoenberg Hall in The Hague.
