Literal "The 8th International Conference on Digital Audio Effects, DAFx’05, will be held September 20-22, 2005, at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, organized by the Signal Processing Applications Group of the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunication. DAFx grew from a very successful COST action in Europe and has established a reputation for the excellence of the papers and its open, friendly atmosphere. It is an event where everyone is involved in some aspect of music and information technology, from new ways to play electronic instruments to music information retrieval. DAFx appeals to researchers and practitioners in digital audio and digital music processing. The conference will feature keynote addresses, poster and spoken presentation sessions over 3 days. The social program is planned to include a concert, a banquet and much more"
